Introduction

 Hello, I'm Caira and I'm an art major. I plan on being self employed in the future whether that includes art or not (I'm hoping it does). I play lacrosse here at Colorado State University as a Midfielder. I enjoy water sports as well such as rafting and kayaking. My parents own a white water rafting company in Oregon so I basically grew up on the river. I have already taken the second half of this course & enjoyed that so I'm hoping this class is somewhat similar. A favorite artist of mine is Andy Goldsworthy. I really enjoy how he uses nature to create his pieces. The survival of Goldsworthy's art is rarely guarenteed, however, I think that's what's beautiful about it. 

This piece of artwork was intriguing to me. I chose to include this piece because I'm curious as to what this thing is and why the artist decided to combine species.
